A fine Swansea porcelain dessert plate, c. 1820. Possibly painted by David Evans, with an exuberant display of Spring flowers, within a gilt scrollwork cavetto.
The border sharply moulded with a repeated ‘C’ scroll and flower motif, divided by gilt and green enamel stylised leaves, within a gilt rim.
Printed red ‘SWANSEA’ mark to the reverse.
Diameter – 20.7 cm, 8 1/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
