Staffordshire pottery Greyhounds, Thomas Parr, c. 1850.

A fine and rare pair of Staffordshire Greyhounds, Thomas Parr factory, c. 1850. Both well modelled hounds, with open mouths, and wearing gilt collars, standing before their catch, on oval mound bases.
The bases moulded with ferns to the stump that supports the hounds.
Single gilt line to the bases.

Height – 18 cm, 7 1/8”.

Length – 17.2 cm, 6 3/4”.

Condition – Typical minor age related wear to the enamel. No damage. No restoration.
