A rare Staffordshire lustre bust of the Reverend John Wesley, c. 1820. The bust, well modelled, and set upon a square pedestal base, edged with acanthus leaf moulding.
Coloured in typical enamels, with the addition of pink lustre to his garment, and the socle.
Height – 25.2 cm, 9 7/8”.
Width – 14 cm, 5 1/2”.
Depth – 9.2 cm, 3 5/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
