Staffordshire potteries blue and white dish, c. 1820. Printed in blue, with a scene of the windmill at Powder Hill, near Hastings, within a broad floral border.

Diameter – 25 cm, 9 3/4”.

Condition – Excellent. No damage. No restoration.

The scene is believed to be of the windmill at Fairlight, near Hastings in East Sussex, where the mill was used to grind material for use in the production of gunpowder.
