Pair of Chinese famille rose plates, c. 1840, Qing Dynasty. Both plates hand painted with circular panels of figures before pavilions in garden settings.
The borders with birds and insects amongst flowering plants, within gilt rims.
Diameter – 20.2 cm, 8”.
Condition – Minor wear to the enamels. No restoration.
