Japanese ox blood cloisonné vase, c. 1920, Taisho Period. The hexagonal shaped vase, decorated in the ginbari style, with a rich red enamel over a silvered ground. Unusually decorated with a continuous band of karakusa scroll, and stylised flowers.
Having silvered metal mounts.
Stamped ‘Made in Japan’ to the base.
Height – 16 cm, 6 1/4”.
Diameter – 8.5 cm, 3 3/8”.
Condition – Excellent. No damage. No repair.
