Indian silver three piece tea set, Kutch, c. 1890. The teapot with fine repouse decoration of dense floral scroll, surrounding an armorial crest; having an angular handle, and spout, terminating with a mythical bird head. Set upon four scroll feet.
The cream jug, and sugar bowl, similarly decorated, and the covers with elephant finials.
Both the teapot and cream jug with hinged covers.
Height of teapot – 12 cm, 4 3/4”. Weight 341 grammes.
Height of sucrier – 11 cm, 4 3/8”. Weight 260 grammes.
Height of jug – 9.5 cm, 3 3/4”. Weight 181 grammes.
