Fidelle Duvivier coffee can & saucer, Oude Loosdrecht, c. 1780.

£950.00

Fidelle Duvvivier, porcelain coffee can and saucer, probably Oude Loosedrecht,
c. 1780. The coffee can, finely, and typically painted with a scene, framed by two large trees, of figures, in a river landscape, before fortified buildings, and a town in the background.
Having a gilt dentil rim, and a ‘C’ scroll handle.
The saucer similarly decorated.

Incised ‘C’ to the base of the coffee can.

The porcelain is much whiter than my images suggest.

Height of can – 6.5 cm, 2 1/2”.

Diameter of saucer – 14 cm, 5 1/2”.

Condition – Chip to the footrim of the coffee can, wear to the gilt dentil rim.
Chip to the rim of the saucer, wear to the gilding, and to the enamel. Please see images for detail.

See- In the Footsteps of Fidelle Duvivier, Charlotte Jacob-Hanson.
