Chinese porcelain plate, c. 1840, Qing Dynasty. The plate, hand painted in famille rose enamels, with a scene of the Empress, seated with attendants, in a pavilion. In the garden, are two further attendants, along with a seated lady plays the qin.
The broad border, finely enamelled with insects, and birds amongst foliage, on a gilt ground.

Diameter – 24.7 cm, 9 3/4”.

Condition – Typical minor wear to the enamel. No restoration.
