Chinese porcelain bitong, c. 1700, Kangxi Period. The brush pot, hand painted in underglaze blue, with attendants making offers to a Dignitary, standing in a garden, before a large rock.
The reverse, with a banana plant growing before a pavilion, partially obscured by clouds.
Having an unglazed base, with a central glazed recess.
Height – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Diameter – 9.2 cm, 3 5/8”.
