Some say the antique syndrome surfaced to offset the newness of the land, the homes, and the settlers. Some say the interest was initiated by a desire to return to the roots of yesterday. I contend the entire movement to acquire antiques was born out of sheer respect of things that lasted longer than fifteen minutes. Erma Bombeck

Chamberlains Worcester porcelain teapot, pattern No.342, c. 1810. The boat shaped teapot, exuberantly decorated in Imari style, with panels of flowering plants.
Having a similarly decorated domed cover, surmounted by a gilt tear drop finial.

Gilt script pattern number 342 to the underside of the cover.

Length – 26 cm, 10 1/4”.

Height – 17 cm, 6 5/8”.

Condition – Slight wear to the gilding. No restoration. No damage.
