Some say the antique syndrome surfaced to offset the newness of the land, the homes, and the settlers. Some say the interest was initiated by a desire to return to the roots of yesterday. Chamberlains Worcester porcelain sucrier, pattern No.342, c. 1810. The boat shaped sucrier, exuberantly decorated in Imari style, with panels of flowering plants.
Having twin branch handles, heightened in gilt.
Length – 19 cm, 7 1/2”.
Height – 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Condition – Slight wear to the gilding. No restoration. No damage.
