Pair of Staffordshire pottery Snow Leopards, c. 1820.

A rare pair of Staffordshire pottery figures of Snow Leopards, c. 1820. The leopards, modelled recumbent, upon a green mound base, and painted with black spots, on a white ground.
Covered in a pearlware glaze.

Length – 9.2 cm, 3 5/8”.

Height – 5.7 cm, 2 1/4”.

Width – 4.7 cm, 1 7/8”.

Condition – Small chip to one base. As you will see in the images, the left hand leopard has a deep firing crack to the inside, but it does not penetrate through the figure. No restoration.
