Vienna Porcelain Tray, Europa and the Bull, circa 1870

A large Vienna porcelain pierced tray, circa 1870. Hand painted to the centre with a panel of a mythological scene of Europa and the Bull, with attendants, within a Classical landscape, with putti flying above. Within an elaborately decorated border of gilt scrollwork, and Classical mask head panels. The rim heavily pierced and gilded.
Blue Beehive mark, and impressed number ‘35’ to the unglazed base.
Measures: Length 37 cm, 14 5/8”.
Height 29.5 cm, 11 5/8”.
Condition: Perfect. No restoration.
