Spode Porcelain Cup and Saucer, ‘Butterfly’ Handle, circa 1810

A rare Spode porcelain cup and saucer, circa 1815. Both items moulded, and painted with cobalt blue panels, containing gilded flowering plants, within green borders. The cup, gilded to the interior, and having a finely moulded pink butterfly handle.
Painted marks and pattern number to the bases - ‘Spode, 2276’.
Diameter of saucer 8.3 cm, 3 1/4”.
Height of cup 3 cm, 1 1/8”.
Width 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Condition - Minor wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
