Meissen Porcelain ‘Masquerader’ Cane Handle, circa 1740

A rare, gold mounted Meissen porcelain cane handle, circa 1740. Modelled as the head and shoulders of a young lady, dressed as a ‘Masquerader’, wearing a turquoise mask. Her dress painted with flowers.
Having a solid gold mount, chased with stylized leaves.
Height 4.8 cm, 1 7/8”.
Width 2 cm, 3/4”.
Condition: Firing crack to glaze. No damage. No restoration.
