Chinese Swatow Porcelain Large Bowl, circa 1600, Ming Dynasty

Chinese Swatow porcelain large bowl, circa 1600, Ming Dynasty. The deep sided bowl, exuberantly painted in polychrome enamels, with birds flying amongst flowering plants. The border with panels of rabbits, fish, ducks and birds, outlined in black, beneath turquoise enamel, on an iron red whirl ground. The interior with a central panel of flowering plants, within a stylised cloud border, within a further rim border if stylised plants.
Measures: Height 12.5 cm, 4 7/8”.
Diameter 24.2 cm, 9 1/2”.
Condition: Typical firing faults, and minor wear to the enamels. No damage. No restoration.
