Worcester porcelain chestnut basket, c. 1770. The lattice work basket, moulded with flower heads enamelled in pink, and having ‘branch’ handles’ terminating in further flowerheads. Painted to the centre, with a shaped panel, enamelled in Kakiemon style, with an insect flying above flowering plants, within a ‘Scale Blue’ border.
The trellis painted with further insects flying amongst sprays of flowers.
Underglaze blue cross hatched square mark to the base.
Width - 23 cm, 9 1/8”.
Height - 10.2 cm, 4”.
Depth - 18 cm, 7 1/8”.
Condition - Typical firing faults, and minor wear to the enamels - please see images for detail. No damage. No restoration.

Signed/Inscribed: Underglaze blue cross hatched square mark to the base.
