Wedgwood ‘Three colour’ vase and cover, c. 1900.


A fine Wedgwood ‘Three colour’ pottery vase and cover, c. 1900. The vase, sprigged with four lilac oval medallions, containing Classical figures, within flowering green swags, suspended from lilac rams heads, which also support hanging ribbons, tied to further symbolic images.
A continuous band of stylised acanthus leaf, and fleur de lys in alternating green and lilac jasper, terminates in twin scroll handles.
Set upon a square socle base, with further stylised flower head and palmette sprigged reliefs. The lightly domed cover, similarly decorated, and surmounted with a tear drop finial
Impressed ‘WEDGWOOD’ and ‘ENGLAND’ to the base.
Height - 22 cm, 8 5/8”.
Width - 12.8 cm, 5”.
Condition - Perfect. No restoration.
