Staffordshire pottery Sheep watch holder, c. 1860.


A rare Staffordshire pottery watch holder, c. 1860. Modelled as two recumbent sheep, upon a grassy mound base, beneath the watch holder, moulded with grapes and leaves. The watch holder surmounted by a standing ram, wearing a bell around its neck.
Height - 22.5 cm, 8 7/8”.
Width - 16 cm, 6 3/8”.
Condition - Typical wear to the gilding. No damage. No restoration.
