A Staffordshire pottery figure group, ‘Widow & orphans’, c. 1830. Finely modelled as the Widiw, stood before a tree, with two children at her side, and a baby wrapped over her shoulder. The children gathering fire wood, upon a grassy mound base, above a tablet, which is inscribed ‘ Widow & orphans’.
Height - 27 cm, 10 5/8”.
Condition - Repair to Widows right hand.chips to ends of firewood. Otherwise in excellent condition.
