Staffordshire figure of a recumbent dog. Enoch Wood.

An Enoch Wood, Staffordshire pottery model of a recumbent dog, c. 1830. The Pearlware figure, finely modelled, with well defined moulded hair, & carefully painted details; wearing a red gilt lined collar. The dog laid down upon a grassy mound base, with moulded flowers, leaves & sprigs of grass.
Number '93' inscribed in red to the base.
This is a very good example of an Enoch Wood figure, and in excellent condition.

Medium: Earthenware.

Height:  9.20 cm, 3.62"
Width:  16 cm, 6.30"
Depth:  8 cm, 3.15"

Condition: Some typical wear to the overgraze enamels, & minor chips to leaves.
