Spode porcelain pen tray. ‘1166’ Pattern, c. 1810.


A Spode porcelain pen tray, c. 1810. Finely painted in the ‘1166’ pattern of sprays of flowers, amongst gilt scale, upon a cobalt blue ground. The pen tray set upon four gilt paw feet.
Iron red ‘Spode’ factory mark, and pattern number ‘1166’, to the base.
Length - 19.8 cm, 7 7/8”.
Width - 7.5 cm, 2 7/8”.
Height - 3 cm, 1 1/4”.
Condition - Wear to the gilding - please see images for detail. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.

Medium: Porcelain.

Signed/Inscribed: Iron red ‘Spode’, and pattern number ‘1166’.
