Royal Worcester figure of ‘First World War Soldier’. Dated 1917.


A very rare Royal Worcester porcelain figure, dated 1917. Modelled by William Pointon, as a seated First World War Soldier, wearing a great coat, with his gun resting between his legs. He is lighting a lucifer for his cigarette. Painted in matt khaki and brown.
Printed puce factory mark, and date code for 1917 to the base.
Height - 14 cm, 5 1/2”.
Condition - Perfect. No restoration.
