Rare Vauxhall porcelain dish. Figural decoration. c.1755-1757.


A very rare Vauxhall porcelain dish, c. 1755 - 1757. The moulded dish having polychrome printed decoration, of two figures riding horses, before a tree. Having border decoration of floral sprays, sprigs and two moths. Gilded to the rim and central panel.
Diameter - 20.5 cm, 8 1/4”.
Condition - Chip to footrim. Wear to gilding. No restoration.
