Pair of Staffordshire pottery Spaniels on cushion bases.


A charming pair of Staffordshire pottery figures, c. 1860. Modelled as seated Spaniels, each with a puppy reaching up to the mother, enamelled with feathered black spots. Each group seated upon an orange blanket, edged in green, and having burgundy tassels, heightened in gilt.
Height - 6 1/8", 15.5 cm.
Width - 5", 12.8 cm.
Condition - Firing crack to one base. Typical minor wear to the overglaze enamel. Otherwise in perfect condition.
