Pair Japanese ‘Imari’ vases. Meiji Period (1868-1912).


A pair of Japanese Imari porcelain vases, Meiji Period, (1868-1912). The rib moulded vases, further moulded with sinuous dragons, decorated in underglaze blue, amongst a profusely decorated ground of flowering plants, stylised waves, and other textile motifs. Stylised floral motifs within lappet shaped panels adorn the neck.
Height - 31.2 cm, 12 1/4”.
Width -19.5 cm, 7 5/8”.
Condition - Typical minor wear to the glaze. Otherwise perfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
