Mintons 'Cloisonne' inkwell. Dr. Christopher Dresser style.

A Mintons porcelain inkstand and cover, c, 1870. Probably designed by Dr. Christopher Dresser, the heart shaped inkstand decorated in enamels upon a pink ground, in the style of Chinese champleve enamel. Standing upon three Ruyi head style feet, the cover surmounted by a gilt rose finial. The interior with two inkwells

Signed/Inscribed: Faint impressed Mintons mark to the base.

Condition: Typical minor wear to the gilding. Otherwise in perfect condition. No restoration.
