A fine Meissen porcelain sucrier and cover, c. 1740. The sucrier finely painted with a study of a moth, and other insects. The domed, gilt lined cover, similarly decorated, and surmounted with an elaborate floral finial.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark to the slightly recessed base, within a broad unglazed foot.
Diameter - 11 cm, 4 3/8”.
Height - 10.5 cm, 4 1/8”.
Condition - Excellent. No damage. No restoration.
