Meissen porcelain figure 'Piping Shepherd'.


A fine Meissen porcelain figure, c. 1860. Beautifully modelled as a young 'Piping Shepherd' - a boy playing bag pipes, having his sheep dog laying at his side, and a sheep, grazing to his left. The details finely painted, and heightened in gilt. Standing upon an oval rococo scroll moulded base.
Underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised model number '2784', and impressed '131' to the base.
Height - 14.5 cm, 5 3/4".
Condition - Perfect. No damage. No restoration.
