Marble figure of a girl - signed P Wolfers

A marble figure, c. 1918. Carved by Phillipe Wolfers (1858 - 1929), as a young girl, seated naked, upon a large rock, clasping her hands above her right breast. Signed P. Wolters to the side of the figure.
The whole standing upon a green veined marble base, which has a brass plaque inscribed ' Souvenir Affectueux des Quatre Sannees de Guerre Passes a Sandhoe. Mme. Louie Janssen et ses enfants'.
