Leeds Pottery creamware teapot


A Leeds Pottery creamware teapot, c. 1775. The cylindrical teapot having bead moulded borders, ogee strap work handle, & acanthus moulded spout. Painted to both sides with Exotic birds in garden settings, in the manner of David Rhodes.
The domed lid similarly decorated, & having a flowerhead finial washed in green enamel.

Ex Sharow Hall, Ripon, North Yorkshire, Collection.
Purchased from Mallets, Dover Street, London - 8th April 1974.

Condition: Finial re attached. Otherwise in perfect condition.
