La Courtille, Paris, biscuit porcelain group, c. 1790.


A fine La Courtille biscuit porcelain group, c. 1790. Beautifully modelled, as a group of children at play. One young boy, buries his head into the apron of a seated girl, whilst another girl proceeds to spank him, with her shoe. All set upon an oval moulded base.
Incised crossed torches mark to the base.
Height - 18.5 cm, 7 1/4”.
Length - 15 cm, 5 7/8”.
Width - 7.5 cm, 3”.
Condition - Repair to two hands. Otherwise in perfect condition.
