A fine and large Koransha porcelain vase, c. 1890, Meiji Period. The globular vase, decorated with a primary scene of two large carp, swimming through gently rippling waters; the first carp in delicately, moulded relief, the second painted in shades of grey. Further carp, either moulded or painted, adorn this stunning vase.
Koransha mark in underglaze blue to the base.
Height - 29.4 cm, 11 5/8”.
Diameter - 25.5 cm, 10”.
Condition - Perfect. No damage. No restoration.
