A fine Japanese inlaid, iron box and cover, Meiji Period. Inlaid in gold, silver and copper, with images of various Japanese and Chinese coins, to both the box and cover. The interior with silvered linings.
The base with inlaid signature in gilt.
Contained within original silk lined wooden box, having inscriptions to the sliding cover.

Signed/Inscribed: Inlaid signature to the base.

Condition: Typical minor wear, commensurate with its age. Otherwise in perfect condition. No restoration.
