Japanese Imari pattern dish 'Swimming Carp' Meiji Period.


A Japanese Arita porcelain dish, Meiji Period, 1868 -1912. The leaf shaped dish, lightly moulded with two carp, swimming through stylised waves, amongst flowering plants. Decorated in typical Imari enamels, with one carp stunningly decorated in gilt.
Width - 31 cm, 12 1/4".
Height - 26 cm, 10 1/4".
Condition - typical very minor wear to the gilt and enamel. Otherwise in perfect condition. No damage. No restoration.
