Japanese 'Imari' bowl, Arita. Genroku Period.

A good Japanese, Arita bowl, c. 1700, Genroku Period. Well painted in Imari style, with a continuous band of flowering plants in underglaze blue, with overglaze enamels of red, green, yellow, and aubergine, above a lappet border.
The interior, similarly decorated, and having a central panel of pomegranates, within concentric circles.
Set upon a footrim, with a band of continuous scroll in underglaze blue.

Medium: Porcelain

Height:  10.40 cm, 4.09"

Condition: Typical wear to the gilding and to the enamels. Otherwise in perfect condition. No restoration.
