Japanese gilt bronze okimono of a boy. Meiji Period.


Japanese gilt bronze okimono in Miyao style, Meiji Period (1868-1912). Well modelled as a young smiling boy beating a drum, hung around his neck. His kimono engraved with flowers, and tied with at his back, with a large bow. The details finely accentuated in gilt, and his skin in shakudo.
Set upon a hardwood base.
Unsigned.
Height (Including stand) - 10.2 cm, 4”.
Width of stand - 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Condition - Perfect. No repair.
