A Japanese cloisonné enamel, c. 1920. Taisho Period (1912-1926). The kogo shaped compact having a beautifully worked in gilt wire, and enamelled cover, enamelled with bird flying amongst flowering plants. The base with an overall pattern of stylised flower heads, amongstscrolling vines.
Having a gilt metal interior, with a mirror in the cover.
Diameter - 7.5 cm, 3”.
Condition - Perfect. No damage. No repair.
