A good Japanese bronze Okimono, by Mitani, Meiji Period (1868 -1912), Well cast as a tigress, carrying her cub, whilst walking.
Signed with cast signature of Mitani, to the underside of the tigress.
An extremely charming study, unusual in that tigers are usually depicted in a more aggressive manner.
Length - 43 cm, 17".
Height - 21.5 cm, 8 1/2".
Condition - Excellent original condition. No damage. No repair.
