Gardner of Moscow porcelain figure of 'Vodonoska'.


A fine Gardner of Moscow porcelain figure of Vodonoska, c. 1815. Realistically modelled and painted after a model by S.S. Pimenov, wearing a blue sarafan, white shirt and gold kokoshnik. She carries a simulated wood yoke suspending two buckets. Set upon a naturalistic grass mound, enclosed within a gilded rococo scroll base.
Impressed marks to the base.

Medium: Porcelain.

Signed/Inscribed: Impressed factory marks to the base.

Condition: Some repair to the yokes and covers. Otherwise in exceptionally fine condition.
