Gardner of Moscow biscuit porcelain figure group 'The Drunken Husband'.

A rare Gardner of Moscow, biscuit porcelain group, c. 1880. Realistically modelled and painted as a drunken man singing and wearing one boot, a brown overcoat and top hat, holding a bottle. Accompanied by his wife, wearing a brown coat and pink kerchief, holding a young child in white dress and the man's shoe, on a naturalistic circular base.
Underglaze red factory mark along with impressed factory mark, and number '5', to the base.
Height - 24 cm, 9 3/8".
Condition - Excellent. No damage. No restoration.

Medium: Porcelain.

Signed/Inscribed: Impressed and iron red factory marks, impressed number '5'.
