Chinese porcelain vase. Liu Hai & the Three Legged Toad. Guangxu Period.

A good large Chinese porcelain vase, Guangxu Period. c. 1880. Finely painted in underglaze blue with the legend of Lui Hai and the three legged frog, standing before rocks and trees, with bats flying above. The neck painted with a continuous Ruyi head motif in a double band, around a moulded ring; and a chevron motif painted to the foot rim.
Concentric circles painted to the base.
Height - 43 cm, 17".
Condition - Perfect. No damage. No restoration.
