A Chinese porcelain cockerel, c. 1800, Jiaqing period. Painted to the body in iron red, and having famille verte and noir enamels to the head, wings, tail and feathers. The comb decorated in overgraze red enamel. Standing upon a pierced, rocky base.

Condition: Wear to the overgraze enamels. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.
