Chinese porcelain ‘Laughing Boy’. Famille Rose, c. 1800. Jiaqing Period.


An amusing Chinese porcelain figure, c. 1800. Jiaqing Period. Modelled as a seated young boy with an amused, open mouthed expression upon his face, and holding a toy in his right hand. Wearing a famille rose decorated tunic, painted with butterflies, and green breeches. His hair tied in bunches above his ears.
Height - 11.4 cm, 4 1/2”.
Width - 7.6 cm, 3”.
Depth - 5.5 cm, 2 1/8”.
Condition - Very minor typical wear to the enamel. Otherwise perfect. No damage. No restoration.
