Chinese Dehua Blanc de Chine figure of Guanyin.


Chinese Dehua blanc de chine figure of Guanyin, c. 1660, in the style of Hui Jiang. Finely modelled resting upon a pierced rockwork plinth, wearing long cascading robes, open at the chest to reveal a pendant. The Goddess has her hair coiled in a chignon, and held with a tiara and hairpin. Her serene face, having downcast eyes. She holds a coiled scroll in her left hand.
Height - 33.5 cm, 13 1/4".
Condition - Chips to fingers, and hairpin. Lacking vase to left of the figure. Typical firing faults. Otherwise perfect condition. No restoration.
