Chinese blanc de chine Guanyin with child & attendants. Dehua. Kang Hsi period.


A good Dehua blanc de chine figure of Guanyin, Kang Hsi period, late 17th Century. The goddess modelled seated upon a lotus pedestal supporting a child on her lap, wearing loose fitting robes opening at the chest to reveal a ruyi beaded necklace, all above a pair of attendants flanking a writhing dragon. Pedestals to either side supporting a vase and scrolls. All under a creamy white glaze.
Height - 22.8 cm, 9".
Condition - Chip to index finger of right hand. Otherwise in perfect condition. No restoration.
