Chinese ‘Pseudo Tobacco Leaf’ pattern platter, c. 1760. Qianlong Period.


A Chinese porcelain dish, painted in the ‘Pseudo Tobacco Leaf’ Pattern, Qianlong Period, c. 1760. The rectangular dish having a foliage moulded rim, and painted in famille rose enamels, with pink hibiscus blooms, amongst stylised cut fruit, and serrated tobacco leaves. Heightened with gilding.
Length - 30.2 cm, 11 7/8”.
Height - 22 cm, 8 5/8”.
Condition - Typical minor wear to the enamels. Repair to chip to the reverse.
