Chinese ‘Crackle glaze’ porcelain vase, c. 1890.


Chinese porcelain vase, c. 1890. Painted in underglaze blue, with a continuous scene of dignatries beneath trees, and children collecting butterflies. The reverse with further butterflies, all beneath a crackled glaze, and between moulded simulated bronze rims.
Incised archaic mark to the base.
Height - 35 cm, 13 3/4”.
Condition - Perfect. No restoration.
