Chelsea porcelain 'Watteau' coffee cup.


A rare Chelsea porcelain coffee cup, c. 1760. The conical shaped cup finely hand painted with three rectangular vignettes of children in garden landscapes, after Watteau, upon a mazarin blue ground, heightened with gilt scrolls. The wavy rim, having gilt dentil decoration.
Having an unglazed base
Height - 6 cm, 2 3/8".
Condition - Crack to side. Crack to base - please see images for detail. Otherwise perfect. No restoration.
